Please select the workshop(s) you wish to attend, if any.
The conference registration fee permits access to all conference technical sessions (oral and poster), plenary lectures, refreshment services, the exhibition hall, and all social events. Social events include the opening reception (Sunday evening, heavy appetizers), the ice cream social (Monday evening), the picnic at the Arboretum (Tuesday evening), and the closing reception (Wednesday evening, heavy appetizers). For planning purposes, specific events require a head-count in advance. Please indicate if you plan to attend these particular events...it is always best to indicate "Yes". Menus for all events will be posted soon.
The Guest (and child) registration fee permits attendance to the plenary lectures, the special symposium celebrating the sesquicentennial of the Land Grant Act, and all other social events except the picnic at the Arboretum.
The Lunch Plan does not represent a discount from the pay-at-the-door rate. The plan is offered as a matter of convenience - Pollock Commons is located near the main conference buildings. The New Member meeting and the Birds-of-a-Feather sessions will be held in a private lunch room within Pollock Commons. Attendees may purchase lunch on-site at Pollock Commons - advance purchase is not necessary.
Upon arrival, conference attendees will recieve a registration packet which inlcudes a conference tote bag, badge with lanyard, water bottle, conference pocket guide, and event tickets (if applicable), among other items. The 2012 and future BCCE conferences are moving towards an e-Program Guide format (details to follow in the coming weeks). Only 150 copies of the printed version are available for purchase on a first-come first-served basis. The print version is available for $20.
Parking permits may be purchased at the conference registration desk. For attendees staying in the dorms, parking permits are purchased via the dorm reservation form.
The bus tour to the Priestley House includes a box lunch.
The State College Spikes minor league (A) team is affiliated with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The only home game during the week of the conference is 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at Medlar Field (located on campus). Tickets are available at a reduced group rate but the game conflicts with the closing reception party hosted by Al D. Hyde and the Key Tones.
We have reserved 10 spots in the Science U summer camp program "ChemPossible". The science camp is for kids entering grades 4-8 in the Fall. Registration for the summer camp is separate from conference registration. If you wish to enroll your child, please contact the 2012 BCCE General Chair, Dan Sykes.
